The Observer posted an interview with Kelly about her life, her book and her career a few days ago. Sorry I’m just getting to it now!

“I think if people understood that, they would start to think of addiction in a different way. Do you really think that Amy Winehouse was in her house smoking crack because it was fun? It was because it was the only thing in her life at that time that she had control over whether she did it or didn’t do it. Everyone else told her, ‘Get dressed. Go here. Sing this. Do that.’ She had no control over anything else except when she did drugs.”

It’s taken me forever to find photos of Kelly from her appearance on It’s On with Alexa Chung back on the 14th that weren’t paparazzi images! But there are two MQs, would love to see any more if one of our visitors is feeling generous:

Plus the interview video has been uploaded to the video archive:

Kelly Osbourne is the outspoken youngest daughter of rock legend Ozzy Osbourne and X Factor judge Sharon. Since coming to fame on MTV reality show The Osbournes she has worked as an actress, singer and TV presenter. She can currently be seen presenting fashion-themed reality show Project Catwalk on Monday nights at 9pm on Sky One.

What’s your best bit of fashion advice?

It sounds like a cliche but ‘wear what you like’. Clothes don’t wear you, you wear clothes. Only wear what you feel comfortable in. When you wear something you’re not happy with, you spend the entire night sitting there thinking: ‘I wish I’d never put this on, I should have worn something else’. Everyone has their own sense of style. Everyone should be independent in that and not be judged for what they wear.

What’s the most lavish item of clothing in your wardrobe?

An Oscar de la Renta dress that is so beautiful I’ve never worn it except around my room. It cost me $9,000 (£4,655). It’s like a Cinderella dress – a cream colour with rhinestones sewn in and a tutu-type dress. It’s beautiful. I only wear it prancing around in front of the mirror because I’m so worried about anything happening to it.

What’s the best fashion bargain you’ve bought?

I found a 1960s Yves Saint Laurent dress and coat in a vintage clothes shop in Los Angeles about five years ago. It turned out to be museum-worthy and is actually worth £25,000 and all these people keep trying to buy it from me. I love vintage clothing.

What do you make of the Size Zero trend?

I feel sorry for the girls who aspire to be a size 0. It’s OK to be different. The world’s a big place, I don’t understand why everyone is so obsessed with making themselves a clone. They all look the same; they all get the same plastic surgery, wear the same clothes and there’s no sense of independence anymore – everyone’s become a sheep and it’s sad. These girls don’t eat, stick their fingers down their throats and do loads of speed – they’re killing themselves and for what? Their own vanity. It’s sad. The trend isn’t over at all and I’m seeing more of it in Britain. I don’t think there’s anything sexy about looking like you’ve just come out of Auschwitz.

Going commando and showing your privates, like Britney and Paris, also seems quite trendy.

It baffles me. I can’t even wear a thong. I always have to have my granny knickers on. I don’t understand that whole no knicker-wearing trend; it’s a bit sickening but that’s how desperate people are for attention. Instead of going out and doing something good, they’d rather show their vaginas to the world

Have you read your mum’s autobiography?

No, I Iived half of it, why would I want to read it? Hahaha.

What about your brother Jack’s?

I read some of it. I have to remember he sees the world through a different set of eyes. I read some stories and thought ‘that didn’t happen like that’ so I stopped reading it. I didn’t realise my brother saw me the way he does. There was nothing nasty, he just thinks I’m really annoying.

When will you write yours?

If I was to write a book, it would be two f**king chapters long. I’m only 22. Jack had something to write about because he had a dramatic life change. I haven’t lived long enough to write a book.

What’s happened to your pop career? Will you release another album?

I’d love to do another album – music is my whole family’s passion. It’s a lot of work and I get disappointed though. It’s harder for me because people always think: ‘Oh, she’s Ozzy Osbourne’s daughter – everything just gets handed to her.’ To get the respect of one person I’ve got to work twice as hard. I’m really proud of my second album, I still think it’s great. People didn’t give it a chance. If it was released by someone else I think people would have loved it. I’m always working on bits and bobs in our studio at home but there’s nothing worthy of release, hahaha.

You’ve done acting, presenting, singing – is there anything else you want to try?

There’s so much but I want to slow it down a bit so there’s still stuff left for me to do before I’m 25. I’d love to do a clothing line. I started one but I put it on hold because I wasn’t able to give it all my time and attention.

You presented I’m A Celebrity on ITV2. Would you go into the jungle yourself?

No, I’m not into bugs and snakes and camping. I’m a brat. I got used to seeing spiders that were bigger than my face, though. When I first got there, I’d start screaming if a fly landed on me. Everyone who worked on the set was a guy so they’d be like: ‘Oh, Kelly’s freaking out again’ and I’d be running round the jungle in high heels, screaming. I can’t imagine what it’s like for the people who actually have to sleep in the jungle. There are guards to stop the snakes getting into the camp because they’re deadly.

There were pictures of you down the pub with Amy Winehouse and Kate Moss. Are you all pals now?

Amy’s been a good friend of mine for a while and I’ve known Kate for years so, yeah, that’s nothing new.

What would you do if you were prime minister?

I’d never want to be prime minster but there are so many kids who are uncomfortable with themselves and who they are… I think there should be more projects for kids to learn right from wrong and not have to turn to the streets. There’s so much poverty in this country, that’s what the Government should be working on rather than involving itsef in a war that’s none of our business.

Reported yesterday by StarPulse: Rock heiress Kelly Osbourne welcomes the idea of plastic surgery, but doesn’t feel the need to go under the knife just yet. The 22-year-old recently expressed interest in posing nude for Playboy magazine, but despite stating her image would need “touching up” she’s not prepared for invasive surgery until later in life.

She says, “I’m planning my surgery. I just haven’t got anything saggy so there’s no point yet! Most of my friends have had work done, and my mum’s had just about everything you can have done, done, so I know there are right and wrong ways to do it. And I don’t want to be like everyone else in LA.”

Ack, how can she think of changing? She’s soo cute as is! I’m not against surgery in any way, but I think it’s a waste of her naturally hot body, don’t you?
